GOD FORBID - DETERMINATION

Awesome metal core. That about sums it up. The metal kids will love it and the harcore kids will love it. Great vocal work combines with a distinctive almost retro metal guitar sound I haven't heard in a long time. Determination is an excellent mix of blast beats and breakdowns. They are incredible live too. It is impressive they were able to pull off some of those technical off-time tracks live. Buying this may not make you cooler, but it would at least give you one of the best discs of the year to rock out to while you're trying to be the Fonz. (CENTURY MEDIA) -MB

GODLESS

This demo is decent at best. Production wise it is a little to be desired. Somewhat appealing musically.  Their speed is mostly mid-paced with varying time changes. Keyboard influenced black metal. Fans of the Napalm label should check it out.  GODLESS  PO BOX 991 SABANA GRANDE, PR 00637 OR E-MAIL [email protected]  -AC

NINA GORDON - TONIGHT AND THE REST OF MY LIFE

The newest Veruca Salt album came out and I wondered how it could be so bad. Then I found out that Nina Gordon had left the band, but she was coming out with a solo disc. So I picked this up the day it came out and lo, there was much rejoicing. Apparently when she left Veruca Salt she took all the songwriting talent with her. Tonight is a phenomenal pop album with great tracks from beginning to end. There isn't a single dud on the whole disc, and the gem is track nine "Number One Camera" I was singing it to myself for weeks. So if you are in the mood for a rockin' pop album, buy Nina Gordon's solo sojourn. The ladies will love you for it.  (WARNER BROTHERS RECORDS) -MB
