Project: A.kon12 (June 1-3, 2001)
06.02.01 - Unfortunately, we were unable to finish Chris, Kimberly, and Amie's sailor fukus. I felt so bad because Chris and Kimberly were really looking forward to attending the masquerade. Instead, Chris cosplayed as Tenoh Haruka in disguise as Kou Seiya (so kawaii!), Kimberly cosplayed as Kaioh Michiru, Amie as Tsukino Chibi Usa in Tsukino Usagi's clothes (kawaii!), and Catherine as Eternal Sailor Moon. Chris and Kimberly were extremely sweet. They gave Dayna and I each a costume to thank us for helping them on their fukus! Therefore, Dayna cosplayed as Mistress 9 and I as Hotaru Hime! The costumes were gorgeous and I am forever thankful to them!
We left the apartment at around 5 p.m. and managed to get the 6 of us in Chris' gold car (gomen, I don't know the model ~ yes, it was painted gold, just like Haruka's in the anime!). Considering the weather in TX to be around the high 90's this time of year, I say we did fairly ^_^ Once we arrived at the hotel, Chris and Kimberly introduced us to Layne who was cosplaying Kou Seiya! She was really nice but we didn't have much of a conversation mainly because I was extremely shy and didn't know what to say. We wanted to visit the dealer's room but found out that it was already closed. Dayna and I wanted to get a Saturday pass, since we got a one day pass for Friday, but it was closed as well. We roamed around the halls but my feet were killing me. I didn't have the appropriate shoes for my costume so Dayna lend me hers, which was a bit too big. I decided to just go bare foot instead ^_^ I was surprised a few people took our pictures!
We decided to head over to Denny's for dinner...in costume, which was across the highway ^_^;; It wasn't too far from the hotel so we didn't take the car. Amie was so sweet. She let me wear her sandals while we were walking to Denny's. I felt bad since she went bare foot but she insisted. I just want to say that she's the best Chibi Usa~chan in the whole world! ^_^ People starred at us when we walked into the restuarant ::giggles:: After dinner, we hiked back to the hotel but it was a bit scary because people were honking at us and whistling ~_~
