| My Dream Armand |
| Jared Leto |
| Look at those eyes! Don't you just want to drown in those eyes? I used to watch My So-Called Life (and am waiting for the DVD release) and he was silent, but powerful. I watched Requiem for a Dream the other day and in three seconds he had said more than in the entire MSCL series. Oh well, he looks so young and yet wise, just like Armand. Enough said. | Antonio Banderas |
| Even though Antonio was too old to play Armand (twice the age he should be!) I understand why he was cast. But again: he was too old! His voice was too heavy! His accent too... Spanish! His hair too dark and too long! He was too short! He was too old!!! But I love Antonio as a vampire, and he was a good Armand. But just not the Armand from the novels. But better than the Armand in Queen of the Damned... See and shiver... Chelles Tribute to Antonio Banderas |
| Matthew Newton |
| Ehmm... there's not much to say I guess.... The makers of Queen of the Damned had listened to the fans that Banderas was too old and his hair too long and too dark, but Matthew Newton is too blonde! He does have the good age though, but the make-up they covered him with his awful. Vampires don't look like circusfreaks! Easy on the eyeliner! God... I think Matthew is a sweet boy, but I dont know about his acting ability since he had, like, 3 lines in the bloody movie, but the make-up! He looks like white trash! It's not Matthew's fault, he's cute and young, but OH MY GOD!!! I did add him to this page because I do believe that with the right attitude towards the characters and the stories and the way vampires are supposed to look, he could've pulled it off. If only....
