The Department of Biochemistry, University of Lucknow in collaboration with the Alumni Association of Department of Biochemistry, several eminent scientists from U.S.A. and other countries is organizing the “Second Symposium on CURRENT ADVANCES IN MOLECULAR BIOCHEMISTRY: APPLICATIONS IN HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND AGRICULTURE from November 9-11, 2000.” Due to expanding human population, depleting limited bio-resources and deteriorating natural environment, the need of the time is to think of new strategies to meet out these challenges. The symposium intends to focus on emerging trends in the fields of agriculture, environment and human health.

The symposium will consist of Plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations on the following themes:

 Submission of Papers

Abstracts of about 200-250 words on 8.5 x 11paper in duplicate including Title, Name(s) and Address (es) of author(s) for oral and poster presentations accompanied with the registration fee should be submitted to the Organizing Secretary latest by September 30, 2000.The scientific committee will take decision about acceptance and mode of presentation of the paper and communicate accordingly.

 Registration Fee
All payments to be made through demand Draft in favour of the Organizing Secretary, Second Symposium On Current Advances in Molecular Biochemistry, payable at Central Bank of India, Colvin Taluqaidar College, Ext. Center, Lucknow. Papers received without the registration fee will not be entertained.
The registration fees is as given below:

About the City
Lucknow, the city of Nawabs is symbolized by the takalluf and nazakat. The city has rare combination of rich cultural heritage and developing science culture. Apart from various historical monuments depicting mughal architecture the city can boost of 10 National Scientific Institutes, providing an opportunity for active scientific research.

The climate during the month of November is pleasant with average temperature ranging between 15-200C. Lucknow is well connected to all the major cities by air, train/bus and taxi services.
 

Accommodation
Limited accommodation can be provided in the guest houses on nominal payment basis. Hotel accommodation can be arranged on request from the Organizing Secretary, Second Symposium on Current Advances in Molecular Biochemistry: Applications in Health, Environment and Agriculture
