About Our Fu**ing public school system.

(As you may have already surmised, this is a very sore point with your not-so-humble host, Septithol)

(Sigh) Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. To start off this article, I would suggest that you read the essay "The Comprachicos" in the book "The New Left: The Anti-Industrial Revolution" by Ayn Rand. In it, she deals quite eloquently with the destruction of human intelligence by our public school system. Far more eloquently than I am capable of. In this short article, therefore, I will discuss the destruction of human morality by that same intstitution.

First of all, I grow quite weary of the handwringing of our government and media in which they either pretend not to know the reasons for the recent occurences of school violence (a'la' Klebold and Harris), or else blame it on 'The Guns'. They know perfectly well the reason such things are occuring. They were told it in very simple terms by a teenage schoolgirl in Pennsylvania. Her reward for providing them with this invaluable (and rather obvious) peice of information was to be immediately expelled.

So, I guess not enough of our children have died yet, that we are willing to deal with reality. But more will die. You may count on it. If you wish to see the number of potential Klebolds and Harrises out there, all you need to do is to look at some easily available statistics. Not crime statistics. That number, high as it may be, is far lower than the potential number of murderers.

The statistics you want to look at are the teenage SUICIDE statistics. It is a fact that people who kill themselves (Except those with a terminal illness) do so because they actually want to kill someone else. But for various reasons are unable or unwilling to do so. So they take it out on themselves instead. This very thing happened about six months ago in a town five miles from me. A twelve year old girl killed herself, and left a note specifically stating that it was because she could not tolerate the way she was treated by the other students in school.

Where was the great public outcry about that? Oh, I forgot. She didn't use a gun to kill herself, so I guess it really didn't count. And we can just go on ignoring the real problem. Which, as stated by a Pennsylvania girl to naive to know that the truth is unwanted in our world is that "Someone  who is teased endlessly can eventually snap." This truth was touched on only peripherally in all the articles about Columbine, in which it was grudgingly stated that Klebold and Harris were 'not accepted' by the other students. Well, there is a great deal of difference between not accepting someone and deliberately and unceasingly torturing them.

What your liberal media chooses to call 'not accepting' someone, at least in my own case (and I see no good reason why I should be unique) consists of having to endure such pleasntries as being used as a punching bag, having objects shoved down my pants into my genitals, being spat on (fortunately before AIDS became a problem), having gum put in my hair, having my property stolen and destroyed, being the subject of indecent exposure, and being knocked down in a locker room and having obscenities written on my naked body with a magic marker. Many of these acts were commited in a classroom in front of teachers, who somehow could not tell that several of their students were out of their seats because they were 'busy correcting papers'. Never have so many essays by eighth graders been so fascinating! I must have been in a class of literary geniuses.
At any rate, this went on every day, for YEARS!. Many adults cannot withstand such treatment. Take a look at the what happens to the victims of such treatment in our prisons. Yet we expect children to put up with it. (At least in our schools. If their PARENTS did a tenth of that, social services would be breathing down their necks). Well, many of them cannot stand it. They commit suicide. Which, by the standards of our society, is what Klebold and Harris were supposed to do. They are only unusual because they decided to take some people with them. Undoubtedly, it is what I was expected to do.

Well, SUPRISE, you sons of bitches!! I'm still here!! It is a fact you may live to regret! Because I happen to know for a fact that our public school system has NO MORAL RIGHT to object to what happened at Columbine.
Why? Because when my brother went to high school, another student attempted to kill him by pushing him down a flight of steps. Not only was their no great public outcry about this, but the school did not even punish the student who did it.

Now, since the moral standard which our school system has accepted is such that they have NO OBJECTION WHATSOEVER to one student trying to kill another via one method, such as pushing them down the stairs, they have NO MORAL RIGHT to object when one student tries to kill another with a different method, such as a gun. The fact that they do object, can only be because of one of three possibilities:

1. They do not object to murder itself, but only to the method used (firearms vs. stairways) if this is the case, our school system is infantile. It is the moral standard I would expect from a 2 year old.

2. They do not, in fact, have any moral standards, but simply decide what is right and wrong based on what is convenient or politically correct at the moment. If this is the case, they are irrational and petty.

3. They do have a moral standard, but have determined that one group of students (group A) has the privelege of killing a second group of students (group B), but that group B does not have the privelege of defending themselves, or of retaliating. If this is the case, then they are depraved.

In any case, whether our school system is infantile, irrational, or depraved, they are not fit to be educating children. Furthermore, I am convinced that they are, in fact, depraved, and their lack of regard for the abuse of certain students is deliberate, and has a very simple explanation. You see, if you can get it firmly fixed in a childs head that it is acceptable for him to violate someone else's rights, it is going to be much safer in the long run for our unconstitutional government to violate his rights, when he is an adult, since he will have lost almost every strong moral argument against it. He gave up those when he gave up morality.

Furthermore, our child may think his teachers our doing him a favor when they permit him to take out his frustrations on a scapegoat, but they are not. What is he going to do when he leaves school, and no longer has the handy scapegoat to take things out on? If he tries the same treatment on an adult, he will go to jail. Many of the acts he has been permitted to engage in are felonies! In fact, this is what has happened to many of my former peers. A number of them have also imploded psychologically, and commited suicide, or become addicted to drugs (which is a slow way of doing the same thing). What his teachers neglect to tell him when they tacitly consent to his abuse of the class oddball is that the operation of justice is automatic (if sometimes slow), that there is no such thing as a free lunch, and that no, you can not get away with it. Moral debts are always paid.

But you just keep on expelling anyone who says otherwise. It's easier in some ways, isn't it. Easier than dealing with a truth you don't want to hear and a moral debt you don't want to pay. But in other ways, (which you will only learn on the way to the next mass funeral) in other ways it is going to be much, much harder.
