Greetings and Salutations!
My name is Emily and this is my site. I want to share the things I love the most with those around me. I'm a college student with good friends, odd classes, strange behaviors, and so forth. I guess you could say I'm fairly normal. ...oookkkk from the laughter of my friends maybe normal does not quite describe me but I guess you'll find out soon enough. I'm a theatre lover to the core. I prefer backstage stuff but I also enjoy acting. For four years I worked with Ms. Bodollo and other high school students to put on killer performances. We competed in drama competitions like those held by Northern Kentucky University, we attended Thespian Conferences after getting inducted, which is a story all its own. We got together to have a good time and for those years together we were a family. That's what I miss the most about Mercy. I also dabble in art. I was really into art for a long time. Four years to be exact. I actually was accpeted to my current university as an art major but switched,(who knows why?) before ever taking a class. I regret that on occassion but I think I like advertising. It keeps me busy. I still paint and sketch now and then. My roommate, Jen, and pal, Colin, seem to be determined that I won't forget to continue drawing. I do enjoy it. Its quite relaxing and as anyone can tell you I need to do stuff to de-stress. Ihave issues with stress that are also another story. I figure I may need some art skill in advertisement so we'll see how it goes. I also enjoy creative writing. I can write formal papers fairly well but I have yet to really enjoy those. I have always liked writing story stories and poetry to an extent. Maybe, one day, I'll add those to my site. We'll see. I belonged to the editorial staff of Yearbook and Mercy Musings, my highschool's literary magazine. I also took the creative writing class offered my Ms. Proffit. It was where I made some wonderful memories and some even better friends. I also am a huge fan of animals. One special animal in my life if my pet, Scotty. He's truly Garfield. Scotty is a big orange cat that's fat, happy, and lazy. He is so cute and fluffy. I love him to pieces. "He's my knight in shining fluff." lol. I have a close relationship with my family. Its small but very supportive. There's Grandma, she taught me to cook and sew. She is sweet and fun to hang out with. Grandpa recently died but he taught me to play cards. I love card games and he is responsible for my love of them. They had two children Aunt Judy and my Dad. Aunt Judy never married or had children. I therefore am designated as the traveling companion. We normally take one big trip a year. We've gone to Hawaii, New York, Mexico, Canada and Europe to name a few. I love traveling and seeing new places. Lastly, there's Daddy. He's been a single parent for the most part. My mom got ill with MS and was in the nursing home for most of my life. It got to the point where she didn't know who she was, let alone us. Because of this experience my Dad and I are extremely close. He's the one I go to with pretty much everything. And this would not be possible without giving credit to Gregg, who has given me advice and his expertise to help me put together this site. I hope my site building skills will improve but until then enjoy as I learn.
