History:� Jyran was born in a large city (exactly which one is unknown).� His mother was a drug-adict, and his father the leader of an inner city gang, the Cobras.� Respectively, his parents were 16 and 18 in his Y.O.B.� Shortly after giving birth to her son, his mother, Wendy Tetch (the parents weren't married, but she had "accepted" {under threats of murder} her husband's surname) O.D'd on heroine.� As a result of his mother' heavy needle sharing, Jyran is HIV positive.� He grew up with his sole disiplinary figure/mentor a murderous, conniving, drug-dealing, thieving gang leader, Eric "the Snake" Tetch by name.� His father beat him for even the most minor transgression, having once broken the boy's arm for failing to steal a loaf of bread from a deli.� Beating was not even close to the worst he received:� everything from rape (either his own father, or one of his several dozen "mother's") to attempted murder.� After having run away and been retrieved several times, he grew tired of his horrid life, and tried to kill himself.� He failed, and upon being discovered with slit wrists by his father, was beaten severely, and sent to find enough food to feed his newest "mom", who was pregnant, for the night.� Enraged and terrified, he set out to find it, but instead of any food substance, he found a strange relic:� a knife, beautifully ornate, and carved with several symbols upon it.� Taking it up into his hands, he could discern its power immediately.� When he returned home without food, Eric attacked him, as usual.� Jyran was forced to defend himself with the knife (his dad was wielding a spiked chain), and accidentally triggered three of the carvings on the side.� A crimson bolt tore out, and charred Eric to a burned husk.� Now utterly alone, frightened, yet relieved, he took off, on his own...

Appearance:� Jyran is presently fifteen years old.� He was born June 19, 1985.� He is of average height (five feet, eight-and-and-three-quarters inches), but is a lightweight, due to a mix of starvation and disease ( one-hundred and twelve pounds).� His hair is blue, dyed first when he was born because his mom thought it would ".. look mad cool", and continued by himself because it did.� He has intense, aqua-marine eyes, which are usually full of anger, pain, despair, sorrow, or an amalgam of any two of them.� Also adorned with an all-too-perfect nose, and lips that rarely form a smile, he is not all together unnatractive; quite the opposite, as a matter of fact.

� �� His musculature/body type is that of a skinny boy... no fat, to speak of, but not very much muscle, either.� His skin is a lightly tan, somewhat pallid shade, and is extremely smooth.

Psychological profile:� Jyran is incredibly unstable, mentally.� He is prone to fits of rage, fear, sadness, or joy, moreso than most people.� His beatings and attacks have left him very passive, and easily manipulated or taken advantage of.� He is, however, very intelligent... but he is too timid to object to anyone doing anything.� On account of the sexual abuse given to him by his father, his father's friends, and various others, his perceptions of sex and relationships are muddled.� He himself is bisexual (he has had a boyfriend, and three girlfriends, and all four relationships ended when he broke down in front of his partner), most likely because of the abuse he took as a younger child.� Very shy, and not likely to start conversation, but direly in need of friendship and understanding, he is kind, gentle, and quiet when addressed.

Weapon:� The Runeknife is an ancient relic, crafted long ago in South America by a powerful alchemist.� Made of an alloy that is nearly unbreakable, and one that does not conduct heat or electricity, it is by far superior to any normal knife.� The strange runes on its side (from which it draws its name) are magical symbols, which when manipulated in a certain way, cause various effects.� One already demonstrated was the DeathSpark, a searing beam of light that causes immense pain.� Others that are known to Jyran are as follows:
Shield:� Creates a protective bubble around the knife-wielder
Runesword:� Transmogrifies the knife into a more useful sword for one hour.
Stealth:� Causes the knife wielder (while in contact with the knife) to vanish from sight.� This lasts until deactivated.

Jyran is skilled in knife-fighting/throwing tactics, and can use it well as an ordinary weapon.� It becomes even more deadly as he learns to manipulate the runes...� There are by far more powers to be uncovered.
