| So um...here is a section where I talk about my favorite songs and how I interpret them on a personal level. As the title obviously suggests, I urge you to check these songs out. If you have KaZa or something go for it.. I hope you find something you like or end up liking here. These are in no order. |
| Artist: Nine Inch Nails Song: Somewhat Damaged From: The Fragile About: The song structure of this song describes the way I can be quick to anger at times. The beat starts out simple and then builds up and up untill it sounds extrememely chaotic. Although I really don't get that angry anymore it still is a song I can really put on just to blow off some steam. Artist: Marilyn Manson Song: The Reflecting God From: Antichrist Superstar About: This is another anger song...but this is more like when I feel like something important to my life is coming to an end and I am pissed off about it. I probably feel this way because the true meaning of the song is a destructive climax in the album's storyline. Artist: The Cure Song: Disintegration From : Disintegration About: This song relates to how I get stressed out about women. I am not clear on what the meaning of the song is actually about but on a musical standpoint alone that is how I feel when I am just...confused about women. Like, when I am not clear on my feelings on someone or I am stressed about what a woman thinks of me. This RARELY happens but the song alone is just that damn good...I had to mention it. Artist: Peter Gabriel Song: I have the touch From: Security About: I don't know how this happened but I view this song as my flaw of being way to dependent on wanting to be with a woman. This just helps me deal with it better but at the same time it makes me really want to be with somebody. Quite odd. Artist: Peter Gabriel Song: Signal to Noise From: Up About: They way this song sounds is the way I feel about life. Not the lyrics or anything but from 4:30 the the song is describing how I feel right now about the way life is. This is a real real good song. It is full of chaos yet it is beautiful. Artist: Talk Talk Song: Life's what you make it From: The colour of spring About: I really think this song just sounds real cool. It gives me a real far away feeling that is comforting. I can just put this song on and relax about things. The song is right, life is what you make it. Artist: Nine Inch Nails Song: And all that could have been From: And all that could have been(still disc) About: The way this song sounds alone describes many of my darker days. But the lyrics describe how I feel about something that has recently happened. The lyrics won't always apply that that certain something though. This is a great song, full of many different emotions for me. Artist: Pink Floyd Song: Echos From: Meddle About: I recently been listening to this song a lot. It gives me this far away feeling that is somehow comforting. It is another song I can just relax to. Artist: A.F.I. Song: The days of Phoenix From: Art of Drowning About: I don't know what it is about this song, but it really helps me put things into perspective I guess. Artist: Chevelle Song: Closure From: Wonder What's Next About: This song just really sounds great, and the first time I heard it, I kinda felt the way the song was going in a musical sense. |
