Since the establishment of the State  of Israel, the Sephardic community has encountered difficulties in entering the mainstream society there.  The Eastern European ideology dominated the political and social arenas for the first thirty years, and slowly the Sepahrdic community and culture found their way into the heart of the new generation.  In this issue we are presenting you with few individuals among the many who have reached positions in the Israeli society and brought honor to our homeland, be it in politics or international and national representation.
