Walking in the Light

 

1 John 1

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.

If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

 

• I find there are many people in the world who call themselves Christian (verbally), but do not act like Christians (in their behavior).  This should not be!  If we are going to call our-self Christian, then we better act like Jesus Christ did (if we do not try to imitate Jesus did, then we are really not a Christian).

 

• The definition of Christian is “Christ-like.”  In other words, if you say that you are a Christian, than you are also saying that you are Christ-like.

 

• This is my challenge for you: act like Christ or do not call yourself Christian.  Decide if you are Christ-like.  If you are not, then you have a problem that needs to be fixed.
