Kool Christian Principles

We Strive for the Following:

1)      To possess a desire to express God’s love through service for humanity.

2)      To care for people, including homeless, handicapped, rejected, addicted, lonely, oppressed, suicidal, unwanted, abused, sickly, and abandoned persons.

3)      To respect people of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicity, race, religion, and sex.

4)      To consider all people to be valuable.

5)      To view all people as being loved by God.

6)      To yearn for a more productive lifestyle, a more significant existence, and a better future.

7)      To make it a priority to support, encourage, and hold one another accountable to God’s calling.

8)      To realize all people make mistakes, including ourselves.

9)      To never focus on our failures.

10)  To forget what is behind us.

11)  To press on toward the goal that is ahead of us.

We Believe in the Following Principles of Faith:

1)      A triune God-head expressed in the form of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (Mk. 1:10-11; Acts 1:4-5; Rom. 5:5-6).

2)      We reap what we sow (Prov. 11:17-21; Gal. 6:8)

3)      When God forgives, God forgets!  Anytime we turn to God with a sincere heart and admit our failures, shortcomings, and willful rebellion, God hears our prayer and responds with forgiveness.  Once we are forgiven, we stand before God totally cleansed.  God never holds our past sin against us (Isaiah 1:18).

4)      Our ultimate joy comes from knowing we are a child of the King (Psalm 13:5, 51:12; Phil. 1:21; Matt. 5:22).

5)      Perseverance through suffering (Acts 14:22; Isaiah 7:9, 51:6).

6)      Being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Heb. 11:1).

7)      Cultivating our dependence on God (Isaiah 7:9; Matt. 17:20, 21:22).

8)      Continually seeking God (Chron. 7:14; Acts 14:22; Rev. 1:3).

9)      Courageous people make a difference (1 Cor. 16:13; Psalm 119:41, 45-46; Prov. 14:13; 2 Timothy 1:7-8; 1 Peter 3:15).

10)  God uses our failures to educate us (Psalm 119:71; Prov. 28:13), to motivate us (Prov. 20:30; Heb.10:36), and to cultivate us (Rom. 5:3-4).

11)  Relaxation in God’s grace (Col. 2:14; Psalm 32:5; Heb. 12:15).

12)  Refusing to give up (2 Cor. 4:1, 8-9, 16-18; Matt. 11:28-29).

13)  God’s forgiveness erases our guilt (Rom. 8:1; Heb. 7:19).

14)  Christ’s power breaks our bad habits (Rom. 8:2; Eph. 3:20).

15)  Christ’s purpose transforms our problems (Rom. 8:28; Jer. 29:11).

16)  Christ’s protection relieves our fears (Rom. 8:31; Heb. 6:18-19).

17)  Christ’s provision supplies our needs (Rom. 8:32; Phil 4:19).

18)  Christ’s promise secures our future (Rom. 8:38-39; Lam. 3:22).

19)  Recovery/ salvation as being evidenced in a profound change of attitude (Psalm 40; Phil 2; Rom. 12:2).
