Judging & Blaming:
Matthew 7:3-5
Blaming
other people causes division:
1)
Judging never heals, it
always hurts.
2)
Judging never builds up, it
always tears down.
When it
comes to relationships:
1)
Judging others doesn’t pay
2)
Practice self discovery- look
at “self,” what did “I” do wrong?
3)
It’s easy and natural to
maximize the other person’s need for help and to minimize your own need for
help… don’t do it!
4)
Personal
integrity is rewarded… don’t be a hypocrite
* The beauty of the Christian
faith is having a God who has the right to judge not judge you. Instead, He offers forgiveness through His
Son, Jesus Christ.
Ask
yourself:
1)
Do I want others to treat
me more kindly?
2)
Do I want my relationships
to be more fulfilling?
3)
Do I want to be known as a
person of integrity in relationships?
Try this:
1)
Seek to discover your part
in every relational conflict
2)
Share your faults with
someone you trust (this person won’t use it against you)
* Jesus teaches
us NOT to judge. He tells us to NEVER
condemn.
