What Is Love?
I had a serious talk with Lindsay Snell (my girlfriend) about our dating relationship with each another. I asked her if there was anything she wishes (or prayed) would change about me. She said that she understands it is not my fault, but she wishes or prays that my memory was better so I could remember the things she tells me. She also said, “I don’t think you accept me for who I am.” I thought otherwise, but nevertheless, I cannot tell her that her perceptions/feelings about me are untrue or wrong.
Accordingly, I promised her I would try to change those negative feelings she has about me. I told her, "It irritates me when you are so quiet." I told her that I just want her to be loud (like me), but then I realized that I wasn't accepting her for who she was (just like she suggested to me). I finally realized that I did not love her with all my heart because I was hoping she would change.
Consequently, I apologized to her for any hurt feelings I caused her, and she forgave me. We reconciled and put that conversation, and all the crap that went along with it, behind us. From now on, both of us promised and committed to each other that we will love each other 100% of the time, with all of our heart (the way God intends for us to love one another).
Also, as a result our conversation, I realized it was not her that needed to change, but me. I realized this by plugging my name into 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. This quote is taken from the bible and is my advice for you today.

4 Love is patient,
love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
