Mountain climbing

These pics are from a trip we took up a mountain north of Seoul, about a three hour ascent, the map in the park said one hour, but that was if you took the path. We chose not to, opting for the more "direct" route, a route that nearly killed me, I don't mind saying.

Yes, I know we're lost, whose idea was it to leave the path anyway?

That is an almost direct vertical drop, I'm not kidding about this one, no photoshop either. This was where I almost plummeted to my untimely demise

Sure, I'm smiling now, that's because I made it to a ledge and went back a few metres for a photo opppurtunity. On the way up I was far from happy...

Stopped for a breather and a glimpse at one of the other peaks across the valley. (Does anyone remember that rap John wrote for my birthday "takes off his shirt whenever a chance is given..."?) Quite true then I suppose.

And the ultimate hero shot, atop the highest outcrop on the peak of the mountain. I suppose it was worth it then.

Is that what you fools call a path in this country? You must be kidding.

The view across the valley

This one has nothing to do with the mountain, with some demo squad members on the way back from, you guessed it, another demo...
