| Every year more than 100.000 norwegians travel to Greece. But how well do we really know the greek people and the greek way of life?? When i do a search online the information i find is either acient history or touristinformation. You would think nothing has happened in Greece since acient times,besides tourism. |

| Greece became independent in 1832.Not that long ago really. BUT there's been coups,a civil war,several Balkan wars,2 world wars,an occupation,a global crises and 2 bankruptcies since then. |
| Today the greeks seam always to argue but never fight. They are as patriotic as they come,with great love and respect for their country,culture,family and history. Even greeks abroad keep a close bond and connection to their old country and the greek values.If it's 2nd or 3rd generation away from Greece it makes no difference. First and foremost they're PROUD TO BE GREEK. Like the saying goes, there are 2 kinds of people,greeks and those who wish they were greek. |
