| DRAGON BALL Z SUUPAA SAIYA DENSETSU | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is a SNES RPG game released in 1992. This is one of my favorite all-time games. Although many people give it bad ratings, I think it is better than the usual game. You have to realize that it was made in 1992, 9 years ago. The game starts when Radditz comes to earth to kill Goku and finishes after Frieza'a death. The thing that I like about it the most is it is completely accurate to the actual series. Every single character is in there that was in the tv series and the actual series of events sometimes must happen in order for you to go on. For example you have to kill Radditz with Piccolo's beam cannon while Goku is holding his tail. Also, someone has to die in order for Goku to go Super Saiya-jin. The graphics are ok, but the one thing I really hate is the music. It is so annoying. One of the coolest perks in the game is that when a Saiya-jin (Goku, Vegeta, or Gohan) have their energy really low and you heal them, they go up another level and they get even stronger. I have had Goku up to a powerlevel of 7.5 Million, and Vegeta at over 1 million which is his maz. In the end of the game if Goku turns Super Saiya-jin and Vegeta is still alive, wait for a while and Vegeta will turn Super Saiya-jin and will stop Goku and Gohan when they are flying. Vegeta is the ultimate enemy. His powerlevel is at 6 million and after you beat him there will be a different ending and that is it.It is a lot easier if you can find the English version of the game, because there are some things you need to do, but if you know the story then you should have no problem. It can get a little confusing on Namek as to where to find the Dragonball's and move on but one thing you must do is look in the broken namek houses that have little pots in them. Inside one of the pots is a little namek, I think its Emi. Without him you can't go on. Dodoria will not attack you at your ship if you don't have the namek, so make sure and get him. People have asked for a walkthrough but that would take tooooooooo stinkin long so go to www.planetnamek.com they have it I think. |

| DRAGONBALL Z SUUPAA BUTODEN 3 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is a SNES game released in 1994 and is strictly a fighting game. This game is a pretty decent fighting game but what really hurts it is that there is no story mode. The only way you can fight is either in a tournament or just one on one. The moves are the same as every other Dragonball Z game. Each character has two meteo attacks. When far enough away the spilt screen shows just the one doing the attack as he charges up his attack and lets it fly. The character he is going up against then has a little bit of time to either block it, repel it, disperse it, or return a blast of his own. In the blast duel whoever presses the A button more in 8 seconds is the winner and both blasts go and hit the loser. You can fight in the air or on the ground, but the controls in the air are pretty crappy. There are four levels of fighting. Level four is pretty intense. Teenage Trunks is my favorite character, but you can only get him with a special code. This is a pretty decent game, but if you want a story type game, go with Hyper Dimension or one of the other Suppaa Butoden's. |

| This is a SNES game released in 1996 and is a story mode fighting game. This is the absolute best Dragonball Z game every made. It has state of the art SNES graphics :). The difference between this and the Super Butoden games is unbelievable. The characters are so real and fluent it is really a fun game to play. The characters are: Goku, Majin Vegeta, Vegitto, Piccolo, Mystic Gohan, SSJ3 Gotenks, Cell, Frieza, Majin Buu, Kid Buu, and Fat Buu. The game can be played in story mode which takes you from Frieza all the way to the end of Dragonball Z. The fighting moves are bascially the same as the Super Butoden games, but a lot faster and easier to do. It is a pretty difficult game to get though but is a lot of fun. It is very hard to find this game though, not very many of these were made. The only thing I don't like about it is that you don't get to make decisions like you did in Super Butoden 2. I guess they had to make it this way because they wanted to keep with the story line. Powering is very different from SB. Instead of having a KI meter it is just a life meter which can be powered up, so that means you can have some pretty long battle. If you get a chance to get this game go ahead and do it, you will not regret it. The hardest character to beat during story mode is Mystic Gohan. It is in the tournament in the end and you are Goku and you have to beat Gohan. Gohan is so good, just always try to keep your power up and save a lot if you are using an emulator. |
