Sentinel, by Naluroc I dress myself up, first all in green I try my best to not be seen I swing around the branches of trees I watch the flowers, tended by bees I listen to a brook, flowing near I listen to animals, living here Im here to make sure nothing goes wrong I wish to continue, but I cant stay long I dress myself up, now all in yellow I hide in the dunes, tall and shallow I crawl around, through sand and brush I watch the insects, in no rush I listen to the wind blow, as it moves sand nearby I listen to the snakes, as they kill and lie Im here to make sure things go right I wish to stay, but I leave before night I dress myself up, lastly in gray and white I scamper around, at such a great height I vault over boulders, careful not to fall I look everywhere, seeing it all I listen to rumbles, as rocks slide by I listen to eagles, and their piercing cry Im here to make sure all is grand I am a Sentinel, guarding the land.
