The Fountain of Demeter. Filling the firmament is a lattice of heavy grey clouds. Shadows dance about the room as the wind moves the leaves in the trees, catching the never-ceasing sunlight in an exotic tango. Beautiful birds of all shapes, sizes, and colours have flocked to this sanctuary, building their nests in the towering hazels that dot this small clearing. The smell of fresh earth lingers in the air to the northwest, while a mighty blast of frigid air chills you to the bone from the southwest. A ray of bright sunshine blinds you momentarily from the northeast, while the scent of pumpkins wafts in from the southeast. A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground. Towering above you, this massive mammoth has a thick, shaggy hide and long yellowed tusks. Spreading its majestic golden wings, a giant eagle searches the ground with piercing eyes. A grumpy badger stands here, snuffling about angrily. Wilderness Apprentice Roamer of the forest is here. Pathris Whelan is here. He wields a simple fishing pole in his left hand. Greyda's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile. Balancing on the rim of the world, Lady Sol prepares to enter her daily slumber. The shadows grow long as the daylight wanes. You say, "I want to welcome all forestals and Naure lovers." Trunks strokes a grumpy badger tenderly. A grumpy badger dances delightfully. Feverfew rests her hands on the small of her back and stands awkwardly. Mordeanna leans forward and plants a kiss on your cheek. You say, "The Sentinel guild his holding a year in Rememberance of Lady Demeter." Veldrin places Feverfew on his back. You say, "With lots of games and events." You say, "And this is part of it." You say, "In this month of spring." Trunks silently wonders if this is one of those forestal orgies he's heard so much about. Greyda pats Trunks in a friendly manner. You say, "We will celebrate the birth of Spring." You say, "The growth of Summer." You say, "The maturity of Autumn." You say, "And the death of Winter." Feverfew rests her hands on her belly and smiles at Tow's words. Julya opens her eyes and stretches languidly, a smile on her face. Julya snuggles up close to Greyda, looking happy and content. Julya gingerly touches Feverfews belly. You say, "To make the circle complete and return to the rebirth of spring." You say, "And our hopes of once seeing the Lady of Nature and the Green back You say, "And now I will give the word to Peladoris and Kadira." Banishing the light, Lord Twilight conjures Stygian darkness over the land and the bright moon enters the heavens. You say, "Some wonderful bards that will present "Lament for the Lost Lady"." Peladoris smiles at the crowd. You pat Peladoris in a friendly manner. Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra says, "This piece is called 'The Lament for the Lost Lady'. We are thrilled to be performing it here. I hope you all enjoy it." You give Kadira a compassionate hug. Kadira flashes you a joyous smile. Peladoris smiles at Kadira and nods to her. Kadira plays a haunted theme against deep reverberations which keep her lute humming. Peladoris introduces a melody which winds like wind through the dark woods of Kadira's base drone. His melody mingles with her theme and enfolds it. Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Aureliana..." Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "Aerinewild ..." Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Lost Lady..." Kadira continues her mysterious theme, occasionally introducing startling triple notes which she echoes on her lowest course to keep her lute resonating deeply. Peladoris slows his play and allows a wistfulness to be breathed into his melody. He spreads his chords slowly as he sings. Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "The roses are blooming for Thee ..." Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Orange roses." Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Fire roses..." Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "Green leaves." Peladoris brings his voice to match the lute's deep chant for his last line, and stills his harp, allowing the lute to reverberate in the silence. Kadira begins a faster melody, still haunted, still maintaining her deep thrumming. Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Your followers wait..." Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra chants, "Dana waits, Grainne waits, ..." The hallowed light of Somnustra is dazzling as she almost reaches a position of preeminence in the heavens. Peladoris plays a chord at each name. The names are chanted so softly the chords almost cover them. He again winds his wistful music up and down his harp strings, keeping pace with the Lute's faster rhythm. Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra chants, "Isbri, Dechtire ..." Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Your kitten is lonely." Kadira plays a playful riff on her lute's middle courses and high string. But the mournful thrum goes on. Peladoris halts his harping, and transforms his chanting into singing, reaching a note even below the Lute's constant tone as he ends ... Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "Kalleah, Talyesen Grovebourne." Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Aelysha is sad..." Kadira resumes her disquieting tune. Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "The roses are blooming for Thee..." Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "Orange roses ..." Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "Fire roses ..." Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Green leaves." Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "The years go by slowly..." Kadira slows her playing here, and plays the melodic strain on the middle courses rather than on the high string. The air grows moist as occasional drops of rain fall from the sky. Peladoris plays a long lamenting series of rising and falling scales in an unsettling mode, mingled with harmony and bits heading different directions, never quite losing the Lute's song at the centre. Kadira increases the volume of the lower notes, accenting her lute's reverberation and ceasing the higher melody altogether. Peladoris plays a last descending scale, and continues softly with liquid arpeggio up and down as he begins to sing. Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "We do not forget ..." The stars wink into existence, familiar constellations illuminating the night with tales of myth and legend. Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Orange roses." Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "Fire roses ..." Peladoris ceases his play as his voice matches Kadira's one octave lower for the last line. The occasional snowflake floats past. Musicante Kadira, the Glad Lute sings, "Green...leaves." Maestro Conductor Peladoris, Prima Harpa of the Orchestra sings, "Green ... leaves." Kadira lets her lute's drone linger like wind through winter oak leaves hanging, as long as it lasts until silence. Mordeanna's eyes twinkle enchantingly. Peladoris bows to the audience. Veldrin hits the ground several times with his tail in a rapid succession of small slams, making the ground shudder. Mordeanna grins mischievously at Veldrin. You say, "Together with the roots of Oakstone and Demeter's order." The light snow continues, lightly coating you with snowflakes. You exclaim, "WE WILL DEFEND NATURE!" Seraphic Sireni Seamstress, Julya Lashyr exclaims, "FOR NATURE!" "Woot!" Mordeanna shouts excitedly. Mordeanna bounces about wildly, stamping her feet to some unheard tune. Draegan cheers wildly!
