The Law of the Sentinels

By Bren Sprackenwulf

There are no "goodbeasts" or "vermin" here
Every beart an equal peer
Each to their own, each to their creed
But keep from lies and wicked deeds
Never kill a beast unless
Nothing else will save oppressed
Healers should help every beast
From the best to the least
Never harm save to defend
Never turn away needy foe or friend
Scouts, swift and silent, never fire arrows
Except in case of immediate peril
In lesser cases call for help
So blood is not unessarily spilt
Archers fire shafts with care
Always note who is there
Never shoot on impulse for
Your mistake may be terribly sore
Warriors, do not thirst for blood
Never kill when spare you should
Keep swords sheathed during debate retort
Never kill for petty anger or sport
Minstels, don't make fun or be rude
Your songs should be clean, never crude
You don't need to sing of snails or bears
Also appreciated are contemplative airs
We are all Sentinels, feel our eye
Protecting Mossflower, land and sky
