Yarrula vs. Jandura Swiftflit

Prologue |
"A new battle contest is about to begin! Yarrula, using katana, tanto, and brass knuckles, will battle with Jandura Swiftflit, who will use a short sword, claymore, and three hatchets. Make sure you read the rules. You have ten moves each. You may begin when ready." |

A black squirrel walks into the ring and checks his weapons but draws his claymore. "Come on, Yarrula, get on out here!" |

Yarrula strides into the ring. He unsheathes his sword and checks the blade carefully. He pulls a quilted cover over the sword and tosses one to Jandura. "Here. This way we can fight to the fullest without worrying about cutting each other. Who do you want to go first?" |

Jandura frowns a little, muttering "Not good fight without something to prove it by. Oh well" The squirrel covers his claymore with the cloth, Then draws himself into a stance."You may go first" |
Move #1
|
"heheh, bruises heal faster than lost paws my friend. Then you can fight again faster!" Yarrula kicks up a cloud of dust and rushes in. His sword whistles down in an overhead slash. |

Jandura chokes on the dust but still sees Yarrula's outline in the dust coming at him. Jandura drops and rolls to the side to avoid the slash, then gets up and swings at Yarrula's back. |

Yarrula sees Jandura roll to the side. His momentum carries him through the dust. He tucks into to a shoulder roll to avoid any attack. He hears Jandura's sword swooh overhead. His roll carries him to his feet, facing the other combatant. |

Not seeing any attack coming from Yarrula, Jandura swings his sword at Yarrula's right shoulder |
Move #3
|
Yarrula brings his sword across his front in a wide arc, hitting the flat of the claymore and forcing it to go wide. The wildcat steps forward and aims a kick at Jandura's stomach. |

Jandura drops his claymore, then grabs Yarrula's leg as it comes at him, then twists it to get Yarrula off his feet. |
Move #4

Yarrula twists and falls to the ground, dropping his sword in the process. From where he lies, Yarrula boots Jandura in the knees. |

Jandura jumps back from Yarrula's kick. The squirrel allow Yarrula to get to his feet. |
Move #5

Yarrula gets to his knees, but instead of climbing to his feet, he launches himself in a tackle at Jandura's midsection. |

Jandura moves off to the side and aims a punch at Yarrula |

Yarrula accepts the punch on the left shoulder and swings a hard right with his brass knuckles to Jandura's chest. |

Jandura sees the punch coming, and blocks it by catching it in his hand by catching it. He then twists it behind Yarrula's back and moves behind Yarrula |
Move #7
|
Yarrula grunts in pain as his arm is twisted behind him. He reacts by stomping on the instep of Jandura's foot while snapping his head back to catch the squirrel in the face. |

Jandura pulls his foot back and knowing that backwards headbutts never work, dodges the butt and lets Yarrula's arm go, then aims a kick at Yarrula |

Yarrula stumbles as Jandura lets go of his arm, fortunaly far enough away that the kick only hits his side lightly. Using that momentum to help, Yarrula turns, and getting in a fighting stance, attacks with a left jab. |

Jandura blocks the punch and sends a right punch at Yarrula's face. |

Yarrula move his head to the side, quickly enough that he is only grazed. He steps in and fakes a right hook, really using his elbow to hit Jandura's jaw on the follow through. |

Jandura is hit by Yarrula's elbow and retaliates with a roundhouse kick at Yarrula's head. |
Move #10
|
Yarrula dives to the ground yet again to protect his much abused head. He rolls over to his fallen sword, picks it up and sheathes it. Breathing heavily and covered in dust, he says "Good fight eh? Have to do it again sometime." |

"It was a good fight" Jandura goes and picks up his weapons then shakes hands with Yarrula |
I liked the battle a lot. I just think that Yarrula did a much better job defending and retaliating to the attacks. |
Now that was a good fight to read. I loved all the karate stuff that they pulled. I suppose technically Jandura won, but my vote goes to Yarrula for this. I just think that Jandura really should have copped more than one hit in that fight, I don't reckon he could have got out of all those and I like someone who'll take a hit when they have to. Yes, I'm one of those annoying types who likes realistic RP fighting. |
