Rogue Streamtredder the Watchful vs. Lilac Blacktip
Winner: Lilac Blacktip
Prologue |
Lilac soon returns from Pine Stump carrying her sword in it's scabbard and a small dagger. She doesn't bother buckling on the sword, but instead she draws it from the sheath and sets the sheath on the ground. She tucks the dagger in her left boot before standing with the sword held in her right paw. "I'm ready when you are, Rogue." |
Prologue
|
Rogue chooses a light javelin and twirls it expertly in various turns. When her muscles were sufficiently warmed up she winked at Lilac and grinned. "Ready!" She held out her javelin in a defensive position in front of her chest. |
Move #1 |
Lilac switches her grip on the sword so that she's holding it in both paws. The blade is in front of her, angled so that it points at Rogue. Focusing on her opponet along, Lilac begins to advance, ready for a move from Rogue. |
Move #1
|
Rogue crouches down and lifts the sharp end of her javelin to meet Lilac's sword. |
Move #2 |
Lilac fakes to the left quickly before taking a few steps to the right. While her footpaws do this, she releases her sword with her left paw, leaving only her right holding it. She whips the sword left, towards Rogue's left side. As she attacks, she twists the blade slightly so that if Rogue fails to block, only the flat of the sword will hit. |
Move #2
|
Rogue dodges her move too late and takes the hit from Lilac's flat of the blade. She grunts in pain, but quickly recovers. With a swift reflex she sweeps the wooden end of her javelin towards Lilac's powerful feet, hoping to trip her. |
Move #3 |
Lilac grunts in pain as the javeling cracks against her shins. She limps back a few steps before charging in at Rogue once more. She holds her sword close, ready to deflect any attack. As she approaches, she whips the blade around towards Rogue's head, once more using the flat of the blade. She watches her opponent keenly, ready to make a move should the otter choose to strike back. |
Move #3
|
Rogue ducks the blade and whips her rudder-like tail towards Lilac's feet. |
Move #4 |
Lilac is prepared for Rogues attack this time and jumps over the otter's tail, while also kicking out towards Rogue with one of her legs. She keeps her sword close and ready for use if need be. |
Move #4
|
The hare's strong footpaw caught Rogue in her midrift and sent her tumbling head over heels. She let go of her javelin and unexpectedly somersaulted closer to Lilac, leaping upon her swiftly. |
Move #5 |
"Whoa!" Lilac exclaims as Rogue leaps upon her. She tries to bring the hilt of her sword down on Rogue's head. |
Move #5
|
Rogue pushes away from Lilac and misses the hilt of her sword by inches. She does a neat backflip to give herself distance from Lilac, picking up her javelin in the process. |
Move #6 |
The force of Rogue crashing into her, and then pushing her away is enough to make Lilac stagger back a few steps and lose her footing. She doesn't remain upon the ground for long, however. Lilac gets her feet underneath her and stays in a crouch with her sword held in front of her. She awaits Rogues next move. |
Move #6
|
Rogue rushes towards Lilac and pushes her javelin to the ground. Using it as a lever she boosted herself up and was flying towards Lilac. |
Move #7 |
Lilac ducks and rolls under Rogue as she flies over her head. She jumps to her feet once she's clear and charges at Rogue's back, prepared to swing the flat of her blade at the otter's head. |
Move #7
|
Rogue spun around and lifted her javilen to block Lilac's blow. |
Move #8 |
Lilac shifts her weight slightly and swings towards Rogue's side, once again using the flat of her blade so as to not harm the otter. |
Move #8
|
Rogue tries to dodge, but the flat of the blade hits her side with a dull thump. Her rudder-like tail moves instinctively for Lilac's haunches. |
Move #9 |
Rogue's strong tail knocks Lilac flat. Lilac starts to get up, but is a little bit slower than earlier, because of the fact that she's starting to get tired. |
Move #9
|
Rogue takes a flying leap at Lilac, using the rest of her energy in this burst of movement. |
Move #10 |
Lilac, upons seeing Rogue jump towards her, resists her first instinct, which would be raising up her sword, a move that might possibly kill Rogue. Instead, she drops to the ground again and starts rolling towards Rogue, hoping the otter's momentum will carry her right over the hare. |
Move #10
|
Rogue leapt neatly over Lilac and landed on all fours, smiling greatly. Standing up she took a respectful bow towards her leader, paw over heart. |
Rogue is too inconsistent in the battle. At the same time, she is too slow to dodge a swung sword, but with the fast reflex sweeps a javeling and ladter does a backflip! Back handspring, maybe, but a flip, no way. Lilac is a better fighter and is consistent, not slow as a sloth one moment and then GMing the next. |
I think the acrobatic, over-acrobatic, moves that Rogue CONSISTENTLY pulled off were a little over the top...maybe used once too often and in strange situations. However well structured from both and amusing all the same. |
