Chapter 35

* A Few Hours Later *

When the phone rung, we didn't expect much, I mean hey we are just a bunch of girls having fun, nothing else.

-          Yellow!, Peter said into the phone.

-          Uh huh! What are we doing? We are working on some vocal things with some girls. Quite good actually! Um yeah if you want to drop by. Who are they with? Take 5� yeah! I don't know. I'll ask., Peter said having a conversation with the person on the phone.

-          Do you girls want to come in tomorrow to do more work?, he asked us.

-          What does that involve?, Lee asked.

-          I'll ask okay?

-          Um the girls are wondering what that involves. Oh okay! Yeah I'll see with them. Okay I'll call back okay? Bye!, Peter said.

-          Who was that?, Dasha asked interested.

-          That was one of the high guys., he said.

-          High? You mean like a head dude or something?, Karlie asked.

-          What do you think? A guy ringing who�s on drugs?, Bekah asked sarcastically.

-          Might be! Drugs of rich and fame!, Karlie said back to Bekah.

-          Na he ain�t!, Peter said laughing.

-          Good!, Bekah said laughing.

-          He wants to know if you girls are interested in coming in tomorrow and working on some songs?, Peter asked.

-          Some? How many?, Karlie asked.

-          I don't know maybe 2 or 3?, Peter said guessing.

-          Do we have to do anything in return?, Lee asked.

-          Turn up!, Matt said.

-          I can handle that!, Bekah said.

-          Yeah if you wake up!, Dasha said laughing.

-          So are you girls interested?, Peter asked.

-          Hell yeah!, I said laughing.

-          Cool I'll call him back and tell him while you work out what other song you will sing., Peter said picking up the phone.

By the time we talked about what other song we might sing, Peter had gotten off the phone.

-          Hey guys Lou wants you to have a go at this song., Peter said handing us all sheets of music with the words on it.

-          You know? I ain�t gonna be able to follow the key!, Karlie said looking at the music not the words.

-          This is it?, Lee asked.

-          Hey that's been done!, Karlie said realizing the song as she read some of the words.

-          Yeah! Well like ten years ago. Just have a go and see how you go., Matt said laughing at us.

-          Um Peter?, Bekah said.

-          Yeah?

-          Um you didn't mean Lou Pearlman did you?, Bekah asked.

-          Maybe or maybe not!, he said laughing.

-          If you did I'm so gonna kick you!, Dasha said laughing.

-          No kicking allowed in here!, Matt said laughing.

-          Oh my god you�re kidding?, I asked in shock.

-          I don't joke!, Peter said.

-          Too much!, Matt added.

-          Holy Smokes and Lighters!, Karlie said.

-          What?, Brian asked.

-          Nothing!, Karlie said laughing.

-          Come on do you wanna hear the music first or go over the words, Brian asked.

-          What do you think?, Lee asked him.

-          Go over the words and then the music and you guys can work out how to sing the words.

-          You trust us with that?, Karlie asked.

-          Hey you never know it could be a hit!, Matt said laughing.

-          Yeah now that takes a load off my back!, I said.

-          Just go over the words!, Matt said.
