Chapter 31

After the final bell rung, all the students ran to their lockers to get their stuffs and headed home. Nick and Lissy were already gone about an hour ago to see Buffy. From all the crew, Steve was the one who was really excited to see her again. Donna had decide to joined him instead of going home and Steve was really happy for that.

After saying their good byes to the rest of their friends, Donna and Steve were on their way to Buffy�s place. Steve explained to her that he was really sorry not  asked her to join him, but some reason Donna understated completely.

About a few minutes later, as they about to turn the corner of the block, they saw some police cars, an ambulance and a few of TV News van at a near house near where by Buffy�s house.

-          Is that Buffy�s place?, Donna asked while pointing at the house.

-          I�m not sure. Let�s go!

They ran towards the direction of the house and it was clearly Buffy�s house. Outside, some of the policemen tried to push everyone and the media out of the way to not let them see what was going on. The two struggled their way through the crow.

-          Officer! What happen?, Donna asked.

-          Nothing young lady! Now will you please move on and�

Just as the police officer was talking to Donna, Steve had spotted Lissy sobbing non-stop in Nick�s arms who had a terrifying look on his face. Next to them were Buffy�s parents. Mrs. Angel was screaming and crying while her husband tried to calm her down, but he was crying also. Andy, who was in his mom�s arms, tried to act tough for not showing his tears, but it was impossible. Steve�s sister, Lisa, was there also with her hands hiding her face.

-          NICK! LISSY! LISA!, he screamed and they turned.

-          You two know them?!, the police officer asked him.

-          Yeah! We�re a very close friend of the family!

-          Okay fine! You two get in!

The police officer let Steve and Donna get in, while the media were trying to get some news about what had happen. They ran towards Buffy�s parents, Lisa, Nick and Lissy. Lisa saw her little brother and ran towards him in his arms.

-          What happen? What the hell happen? Where�s Buffy? Is she okay? Lisa please tell me is she all right?, Steve started to say.

-          I met Nick and Lissy� when I was on my way here� I saw them and when we had� arrived to her place� no one had answered the door� so we started to get worry and Nick pounced the door open and then we ran in the living room, but she wasn�t there� but�

But before her sister could finish what she wanted to say, Steve saw two policemen walked through the front door carrying a stretcher. The cover was white and was over a human form.

When Steve saw that, he started to have shiver down his spine, his heart was beating ten times that the normal speed and he started to felt is blood vein frozen like ice. In his mind, he was very afraid and terrified about it.

He walked up towards the stretcher along side with Lisa, Donna, Lissy and Nick. The Lee�s stayed behind. Steve was getting nervous by every second at every step he took. As they reached to the stretcher, Nick was about to lift up the cover to let Steve see who it was.

-          Oh please God! Please don�t let it be who I think it is!, Steve prayed in his head.

Soon after that, he lift up the cover and Steve receive the shock of his life. Donna buried her face into Steve�s shirt as soon as she was who it was and started to cry in an instant.
