Chapter 30

Three weeks had passed and Buffy was still at home resting since her accident. Her parents didn't let her get out of the house, but only the weekends, but with a curfew of 9pm� temporary. Her friends often come by and visited her after school, but for the past week, they didn�t get any news from Buffy and they haven�t visited her.

-          Dude I wonder what happen to Buff! I mean� we didn�t see her for the past week and I start to get worry!!, Tiff said.

-          I talked to her about 2 nights ago and it seems that she�s doing better., Lee answered.

-          Yeah!, Lissy and Karlie said at the same time.

-          I was thinking about seeing her after school. Anyone wanna come with me?

-          But Steve� I though we had schedule a date tonight?, Donna said as she turned to look at him.

-          Oh my god Donna! I forgot all about it! I�m sor�

-          Hey it�s okay! I understand! I mean� she�s your best friend after all�

-          Thanks babe! I�m so lucky to have a girlfriend that understands my friendship with Buff!, he said before he kissed her.

-          Well� Nick and I are going to see her on the last period!, Lissy said.

-          What? You two are gonna skip classes together?, Karlie asked.

-          Uh oh! Lissy� I think you better stop seeing him! I think he�s a bad influent towards you!!, Clay joked while the others laughed.

-          Shut up Goodell!, Nick said as he punched Clay's arm.

Steve got up of his seat and started to walk back towards the school way. The others asked him what he was doing. He said that he was gonna call and check up Buffy before going to his classes. What really seems weird to the others was that he didn�t asked Donna to joined him. She said that it was okay, because they were close and all and she totally understand.

~* The School Hallway *~

Steve was walking towards the phones booth, while thinking about what had happen to her three weeks ago. He told himself that he didn't know what will happen to him if she was gone or hurt badly.

���� DDDRRRRIINNNGG!!! ��� DDDDRRRIIINNNNNGGGGG!!!!!��� �

-          Hello?, answered a weak female voice.

-          Hey Buffy! It�s Steve! I just wanna call and check up on you, cause it�s been like� a week that we haven�t see you!

-          Aw� it�s that sweet!, she said with a laugh.

-          Well I�m doing fine! I told my mom that I could go to school today, but she didn�t wanna take any chances� if you know what I mean!

-          Yeah I know. You know that my mom is like that also!, he said with a laugh.

-          You better get well soon cause they�re a lot of people who miss you at school! Like your best friend here!

-          Oh please! I see you too much! I need a break from you and I�m so happy that I have that chance and you have Donna to keep you happy!, she replied to him with a laugh.

-          Well thanks� I guess! I know that Donna is there but I miss my sister a lot!, she laughed as soon  as she heard him saying that.

-          Thanks bro! But hey� hum� listen I hate that this will be a short conversation, but I have to let you go! I have some stuff to do, before my mom gets home. I hope you don�t mind�

-          Hey it�s okay! I have to get to class anyway. Well� I�ll see you after school? Oh Nick and Lissy will be there to see you on the last period, cause they have a free period.

-          Okay cool! I can�t wait to see you guys�

Steve had notice that Buffy�s voice started to disappear as soon as she had mention her last sentence. He asked her if she was okay and she said to him that she was fine.

-          Anyways, I gotta go and Steve?

-          Yeah?, he replied.

-          I love you�, she said before her voice faded away.

-          I love you too Buff and take care of yourself alright?

Instead of answering him, like she use to, she immediately hung up on him. Steve though that maybe Buffy haven't heard him saying anything before she hung up and beside he knew that Buffy was the kind of person who hate to be behind her work.
