Chapter 7

After Greg dropped her off, Buffy slowly walked into her house. The place was quiet that she though. She took a peek into her living room, but there was no one in sight. Not even the sound of Andy's PlayStation game. She yelled out her parents and little brother's name, but there were no answers. She went into the kitchen, took out piece a paper and a pen and started to write down a "made up" reason why she would be late again, like the others nights. As she about to put the note on the fridge, she noticed another note that was left for her. It said:

"Hi sweetheart,

Sorry for being hard on you for the past days, it wasn't our intentions, but you mean the world to your mom and I. I might be late for a while, cause I had taken your mom to the hospital to run some test. Don't be worry about her, I promise you that she'll be fine and will come back home sooner that you know. I had drop Andy off to school, and he'll be spending the night at Danny's place after football practice. At the mean time, you could invite Karlie and Lee over if you want for some sleepover. I had left some money on the counter for you if you want to order some take out.

To be honest, I think I'll might be back tomorrow night. Depending of my job also. So it's up to you to look out after your little brother and making some meal. Don't worry we'll be home soon and please don't come over. We both love you and we're SO proud of you.

Love, Dad"

After reading the note, she became more and more upset and started to worry about her mom health, even her dad said not to.  Ever since she was 6 years old, her mom had suffer diabetes and she was 4 months pregnant with her little brother at that time. After giving birth to Andy, the doctor took a blood test to see if he also suffer diabetes, but luckily the test turned out negative.

While crying a few tears out and as much as she wanted to go to the hospital and checked if her mom was alright, but her dad had made it clearly, in the note, that he doesn't want her there. Because if he saw her daughter upset, he would have a breakdown like the other times in the past. Also, she felt so bad to yell at them the other night and it was killing her for not telling them the truth. Because instead of her mom, she might be the one who lose their life soon.

Buffy called Giles at the Magic Store to tell the others that she would be late and that something had come up and she needed time to relax before going out patrolling. She also added that the others could start patrolling without her and that she would meet them at the south of the Lake Side cemetery at 11pm. After they hang up, she started to get ready for tonight which may change the attitude and the look of life for a certain person for eternity. About a hour before 11pm, Buffy got out of her house, locked the door and headed towards the cemetery and was having some tears rolling down her peachy cheeks.

"Why patrolling so late Slayer?" A mysterious but yet sensual voice was heard in the dry air. Taking by surprise, she turned around and out came none other that Steve who was standing behind a tree in front of her house, waiting for the Slayer to come out of her house.

"Why should I tell you?",

"What kind of woman are you not to answer someone's question?" He said calmly, but it was irritating him. He slowly walked towards her, locking his eyes with hers.

"The kind of woman who can beat the shit out of you." She answered before turning her head away.

"Stop with the smart ass talk Buffy! You know that I could kill you right now if I want.", he yelled out, "But its more fun to torture you. Now what's the bloody tears for?"

Her blood was boiling through her veins. Her hearts pumping into rage. Steve could sent the change of temper. Fangs were showing, he would give anything to have a taste of her blood. Sweet like her angelic face, but yet spicy because of her attitude. Not knowing what she was doing, she turned around and faced him. Many more tears were cascading.

"You really want to know big shit?" She screamed out. "You REALLY want to know?" She was face to face to Steve. Looking into the devil's eyes, hers were also filling with the fire of hell.

"I'm crying for my family. My friends. People I love and care about! Something that you dont understand cause you don't know a fuck about the first thing about it! Cause you're too fucking busy to lick Drusilla's! And you see? I have a heart like everyone else beside a vampire like you! Ryan, Tilky, Andrew and Bekah. They have have something that you'll NEVER have in your pathetic life. A soul and FRIENDS! I'm so lucky that not all vampires and demons are a bunch of fucking, pathetic jackass like you are Steve! Cause you know why's that? You're fucking beneath me dear old Stevie boy and it's better that way!"

After pissing off and bitching at him, Buffy stood in front of Steve's face, waiting for his reaction. Instead of a fight, they only looked at each other straight in the eyes. None of them had exchange a word or even a menacing look on their faces. Both were taking by surprise, but the harsh word coming out of her mouth. After that moment, Buffy turned around and walked away, leaving Steve standing alone.

"Say your last prayers Slayer. Cause tonight will be your LAST night you're going to breath!" Steve said to himself after Buffy walked out of sight. "I'll make sure that all Slayers like you, will be death for what you done to her"

Meanwhile Buffy was on her ways, the others were at the graveyard doing what they do all night, slaying bad vampires. They were at some warehouse nearby, cause earlier last night, Andrew had mention that he had found a vampire location while looking for Lee, Karlie and Buffy.

Slowly the crept inside the warehouse, and were giving each other a different directions with only a hand signal. Scouting around the area with the Slayers's eyes, they noticed some vampires were gathering around the middle of the warehouse, while others were sitting on the couches and others were on guards. They were more demons than vampires.

"So, when do you get the money?" A demon asked a vampire who seemed familiar to the eyes of Clay.

"As soon as I get this Balthazar, we'll see after that." He whispered back as he placed a wrapped object in his coat. Suddenly, the demon grabbed the vampire's coat and lift him up. Immediately, the vampires pulled out their guns and the rested of the demons stood next to their leader.

"We want the money NOW! If I don't have it, then your Balthazar wo-"

There was a high-pitched scream through the air and the demon clutched at their ears. A silver-throwing star was lodged in his flesh. He bellowed in pain and ripped it out as they all looked around to find the attacker. From the boxes fell the Slayers and their comrades, jumping down and landing safely on their feet with a bounce. They were darting towards the beasts. All scattered around the warehouse, some tried to escaped, while other stood fighting.

A demon kicked the guns away from Karlie and began to block a number of lightning-fast punches and kicks. She did a back flip to avoid the beast's claws. He roared in frustration as the warrior kicked him against the wall. Nearby where a couple of vampires, attacking Lee. She was easily holding her own against the them who were larger than her but not as fast. She sent her foot flying and kicked a beast across the room. But another monster managed to punch Andrew and he fell to the ground, knocking his head first to the ground. The demon was about to slam his fist towards Andrew's head, but Bekah sent two throwing stars at him and watched as they sliced his head off.

Meanwhile, Lissy was fighting with a vampire who was much bigger and larger than she was. Trying to concentrated, using her telekinesis, but before she could do anything, the parasite knocked her hard on the ground. She shook her head and as she looked up, she immediately rolled away and got to her feet as he slammed her fist into the asphalt. She reached into her coat and grabbed a stake, stabbing the wooden stake into the heart of the demon.

While the others were fighting, a certain vampire by the name of Scott Henderson had able to escape the fight, with the wrapped object in his hand, hiding and lurking around. He slowly walked towards the opened door of the warehouse, but out of nowhere the door closed up in front of his face. After dusting her enemy, she noticed a movement behind a few boxes. Directly with a swift of a hand, boxes were sending everywhere in the warehouse. Noticing it was a vampire who was trying to escape, she ran after him.

"Dont even think of getting out here alive!"

Scott turned around and as he about to run away, Andrew jumped out of nowhere and kicked him which made him flew across the room. Once he was on the ground, Tilky and Ryan picked him up and let him face the rest of the guys.

"Scott! I though it was you went I saw your face!", Clay spoke up. "No wonder you had miss school for the last few weeks too!"

Bekah snatched what was in his hand and jacket. Looking at it and then back at Scott, she said : "What is Balthazar going to do with these?"

"Like Im going to tell you!" He answered said before Karlie punched him on the nose. "OUCH!"

"Talk or youre dust!". He didn't say anything, but only looked at the Slayers with death stare. Suddenly, Karlie turned around and hit him at his nose 3 times before he gave up.

"Okay! Okay! Ill tell you!", Scott finally spoke. "Balthazar want the blood stone and the ancient Empita spell to awake Repta to destroy-"

"What? Empita spell? I though those were destroy a long time ago!". Lissy said in almost a shock on her face. Her face was over shadow fear and darkness. The others looked in concern, seeing it was the first time they saw their friend frighten about something.

"What is it Lissy?", Bekah spoke quietly. Lissy looked at her friends, with much fear in her eyes. She looked back at Scoot and swallowed thickly.

"The blood stone and Empita spell were used in the ancient Egyptian time by a powerful and evil sorcerer." she spoke, "It was used to summoned a powerful serpent by the name of Repta. It seem that the serpent was held in a different dimension, cause she was too destructive; out of control and she's also pregnant and her kids can be more evil and destructive that herself. The only way to bring her back was that the ritual should be held at the full moon and need a certain serpent that's like a God to them at that time."

With wide eyes, they all looked at each other, not knowing what to say. "Great! We're going to have serpent in town and I hate snakes."

"Now where is Balthazar?", Ryan asked.

"I don't know really!", Scott said before Karlie punched on the nose again. "I mean it! I have no idea! I came here to get the stone and the scroll. Then I have to meet up with this guy whose really works for Balthazar so he can give it to me"

"Where are you go to meet him?" Andrew asked but he didn't answer until Karlie punched him again.

"In a ally on Maguire Boulevard. There I told you! Now PLEASE stop hitting me!" Without hesitation Karlie punched him again. "What was that for? I told you ever think I know!"

"I know that and I believe you. But the last punch was for the fun of it."

"And now you're no use for us anymore!", Lissy said.

She, then used her telekinesis power to move Scott up towards the roof and made him froze in place. Lee took place next to Lissy and Bekah next to her. Lee threw her stake up in the air, while Bekah jumped in the air and kick it faster that a speeding bullet towards the chest of the demon. But before it could hit his chest and end of his misery like into dust, he blew up in smithereens. All eyes darted towards Lissy, who only stood like a stone, with her hand in the air.

"Lissy!", Bekah said "I had a clear shoot!"

Immediately, she turned her head and looked at Bekah. "It wasn't me! I though you hit him."

Then, all heads turned towards Greg whose eyes were fixing on the ceiling. His face hardened, his eyes began to change colors. All stood in shock and all eyes were on him. Greg shook his head and looked at his friends and only smile.

"You know what? I think Greg will out beat me in witch crafts." Lissy crossed her arms and looked at Greg like a mother who was proud of her child, while he only gave them an innocent smile.
