The School of Shorindo Kempo Karate has two very special teams of individuals who have shown outstanding performances. These two teams have been broken down into an adult team and a children's team. The adult Leadership Team is called the F.I.R.E. Team, the children's is called the S.T.O.R.M. Team.
To be involved in either of these teams you must be at least a Yellow Belt, be nominated by one of the other Team Members, and be approved by Sensi Rayburn. Each of these teams are the result of the best of the best within the school. Consideration is given for skill as well as a shown desire to exceed.
The S.T.O.R.M. Team Purpose
Team members are made up of children 17 years and younger being a Yellow Belt or higher. This team is to provide the very best training of our students. This requires a motivated and talented S.T.O.R.M. Team. They should have the desire to teach and the pride in our school to go the extra mile to insure our reputation as the best! Showing students our way requires very special qualities. You should always try your very best to set a good example for the rest of the students.
That is what the name of our team means: Super Team Of Role Models.
STORM Team Responsibilities
The Storm Team Members must fully accept the following responsibilities in order to continue to be a member of the Storm Team. Failure to perform in these areas may result in the stepping down of a Storm Team Member in order to allow another student a chance.
1) Storm Team Members must attend team meetings seminars, and workshops.
2) Storm Team Members cannot give punishment to fellow students. This is the Master Instructor and Black Belts responsibility.
FIRE Team Purpose
This team is made up of adults that are Yellow Belt and higher that have pride in their school and the desire to help others enjoy the benefits and excitement that the school offers. They must be very open minded and teachable. Teaching students our way requires very special qualities. Our goal remains to provide the very best training for our Students. This requires a motivated and talented leadership team.
F.I.R.E. Team stands for Future Instructor Research Endeavor.
F.I.R.E. Team Responsibilities
The Leadership Team members must accept fully the following responsibilities in order to maintain their Leadership Team status. Failure to perform in these areas must result in the stepping down of a Leadership Team member in order to allow another student a chance.
1) Leadership Team members must attend all team meetings, seminars and workshops.
2) Leadership Team members will not give punishment. This is the Master Instructor's responsibility.
3) Leadership Team members should attend children's classes periodically to gain more teaching experience and help the instructors.
