Senshi University takes place in the year 3491 A.D., in the middle of the 40th century. Crystal Tokyo is the capital of the known universe, which is ruled by Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion, and guarded by the supreme power of the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou. Technology, enhanced with the magical power of the Queen's crystal, is at it's peak, with advancements never before dreamed of now standard. Buildings are built up into the Heavens, and traffic takes place at both street-level and in the air on the paths of various "skyways." Nearly everything that can be automated is, and everything is run with super-powered, compact computers with virtually limitless capabilities. Space travel is possible and as easy as normal airplane flights, but the planets are not yet habitable, and the idea of space-stations has been disregarded after the tragedy in 2946, so it is deemed unnecessary. Please note that Senshi University is manga-based.

This is the general layout of the Crystal Palace. The palace grounds are enclosed by a gigantic white marble wall seven feet thick and nearly thirty-two feet tall; the polished surface is impossible to climb, and the core of the wall is actually five feet of a steel and lead composite. The perimeter is constantly guarded, making it impossible to reach the palace uninvited.
The students of Senshi University rarely leave the "campus" grounds, and when they do it is only when chaperoned by at least two of the faculty members.
