Senshi University: join

Please, before even entertaining the idea of joining, make sure you have read all of the pages of information. This isn't hard--there are only three.

Rules

Please be sure you read and understand the rules before continuing on to the application forms, otherwise filling that out will be a waste of your time, and mine. It is usually hideously obvious when someone doesn't read the rules; please don't embarass yourself.

  1. Do not question my authority. I have created this particular RPG, and thus hold rights to its workings and get to make executive decisions. I am not particularly power-hungry, but I do get irritated when constantly challenged. I don't want to deal with constant friction; if you are not willing to accept me as GM, please, just don't join.
  2. Actually read everything. There isn't much to read, and if you miss it you will be lacking. This also applies to posts when the game is in action--reading posts your character doesn't actually take a role in helps you understand the situation of the game at the moment.
  3. Be courteous to the other players. There is no reason to be rude to the other players--if you don't know how to behave yourself in an adult manner, you will be banned from the game. There is no reason to be difficult and start fights or flame wars. It is childish and rude, and I won't have it.
  4. Keep swearing to a minimum, and never use it in reference to another player--doing so will result in an automatic ban.
  5. This RPG is written in posts on a message board. Please make sure you actually write--a one-liner is not a post, and spelling and grammar should be as clean as possible--too many mistakes are indications of sloppiness and a lack of care for the state of the story. You don't have to have an epic for every post, but please actually put some thought into your writing; it really shows.
  6. Sex. Let's not. I don't mind violence, but sex is over the top. I don't care if you want to suggest mature situations, but innuendo is as far as it goes. It's just gross; I don't care if your characters want to engage in that kind of behaviour, but I don't want to know!
  7. Please, be original. Carbon-copy or flat characters are bad for the game. Being unique in a positive way will get your character noticed and make your character stand out; it gives you a much better chance of being accepted.
  8. There is no such thing as a perfect character. Everyone has faults, and no-one is all powerful. You are not allowed to act as though your character is God: you may not control other player's characters, you may not have command of the plot, you may not make your character void of weaknesses, and you may not attempt to make your character "better than everyone else." If you have an ego issue you wish to transfer onto your character, please do it in another game.
  9. Murder is a felony. Do not go killing off your parents or siblings or friends or other senshi just because you can. Sure, not everyone loves his parents, but that doesn't mean there is a need for unnecessary, cliche bloodshed. Also, you cannot kill off other people's characters in the game without executive approval and much planning--otherwise you will find your character killed and yourself banned.
  10. Do not control other people's characters--only your own. There is no reason to control another player's character UNLESS he or she is gone and has given you permission to control his or her characters.
  11. Use common sense. If you want to do something and you aren't sure if it's covered in the rules, THINK ABOUT IT. If you do something I haven't thought of that gets you in trouble, you are still in trouble! The rules are merely guidelines, not the final word on the management of the game: that is left to my discretion.

Thank you very much for reading the rules. Please choose which application you need from the options below.
