| How does Usagi stay alive and keep her powers after she passes the ginzuishou on to Chibiusa as a starseed? Usagi never passes the Ginzuishou on to Chibiusa. Since Queen Serenity passed it on to Princess Serenity, she lost her moon queen powers and eventually died. But this never happens to Usagi, because Chibiusa eventuall gets her own starseed crystal- the Pink Moon Crystal. Thus Usagi keeps her powers. If Usagi had not been a Senshi then she probably would've had to have passed it on to Chibiusa and she would've lost her moon royalty powers. Remember, Queen Serenity wasn't a Sailor Senshi.
