The last senshi we meet from our home system is Sailor Saturn, AKA Tomoe Hotaru (firefly of death). She is small, frail and weak, though her age is about 16. Chibiusa is apparently the first friend she's ever really had, poor girl. She was born on January 6th, making her a Capricorn, so her ruling planet is Saturn. Capricorns are often no-nonsense, straightforward, and sometimes a little depressed.They often like to dress kinda plainly, no flash or anything.{Hotaru exactly, but i know at least one Capricorn that's nothing like this!} Her elment is partially earth (Capricorn's an earth sign, btw) and partially revolution and death.
Hotaru has had one messed up life. First she and her mother die, then her soul is given (unintentionally) to a demon, then the demon posesses her and tries to kill her best and only friend. In the manga she is a cyborg, until Mistress 9 is defeated and she is reborn. Her father is a crazed lunatic that tried to fill the world with evil, then he is killed (manga) / healed (anime). At some point is SuperS, she moves in with the outer senshi and begins to age rapidly, returning eventually to her original age. Throughout this time, she had forgotten her friendship with Chibiusa and had become a happy little kid again. When she reawakened a Sailor Saturn, she remembers the events of the S season, resumes her friendship with Chibiusa, and becomes a bit more serious. |
