Naoko Takeuchi ( NA-OH-KO TAA-KAY-UUU-CHEE) was born on March 15th - a Pisces with bloodtype A - in the city of Kofu in the Yamanashi prefecture. Her favorite color is gold.
She has had a lifelong love and relation to manga- she began contributing to Nakayoshi magazine while she was still in in high school. She received the 17th Kodansha manga award for Bishoujo Senshi Sera Mun. Her manga series include Chocolate Christmas, Maria, The Cherry Project (vol 1-3), Code Name wa Sailor V (vol 1-3), Bishoujo Senshi Sera Mun (vol 1-18), Miss Rain, Prism Time (vol 1-2), the incomplete series PQ Angels ( she left Kodansha, her publisher, before it was finished), and Princess Naoko's Return to Society Punch. Now that's a lot of manga!
On January 6th, 1999, Naoko-san married a fellow manga artist:Togashi Hoshihiro (congrats!) artist of such works as Hunter X Hunter and Yuu Yuu Hakusho. |
