1993-1994
The 1993-94 was an improvement for the Ottawa Senators on the ice, as they improved by 13 points over the previous season.  The Senators most successful month was November, as they finished with a .250 winning percentage.  After the 1st 42 games of the season, the Senators were 8-31-3, which was good for 19 points, but were only 6-30-6 after in their next 42 games to finish the season up at 14-61-9. Ottawa.  The Senators were a very good overtime team, finishing 4-4-9 in their 17 overtime games.  1993 1st round draft pick Alexandre Daigle made his Ottawa debut, and finished the season with 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points, and set a club record by playing in every game of the season.  Alexei Yashin had a great season for the Senators, finishing with a club record 79 points, and also set club records in goals and assists.  Before the season, the club traded goalie Peter Sidorkiewicz and Mike Peluso to the New Jersey for Craig Billington and Troy Mallette.  The trade worked in Ottawa's favour, as Billington set the club record for wins and Mallette had a strong season finishing with 7 goals and 16 assists, along with 166 PIM.  The Senators were an improving team in 1993-94.
