BLACK BELT RANK CERTIFICATION
Black Belt rank ceritification can be done by any black belt regardless of style. If you wish your rank to be recognized through the American Karate System and the American Karate Center just send a copy of your rank certificate, along with a short resume' stating your experience and length of time in the arts. Send your rank copy, resume and a twenty-five dollar check  or money order to;

BLACK BELTS UNDER-RANKED
FOR YOUR TIME AND EXPERIENCEE?
Are you a Black Belts who have spent your time in the arts and feel you are under-ranked due to circumstances you cannot control and wish to move up in rank?

We at the American Karate Center know how you feel. If you have been active in the arts for a long period of time and have had trouble getting recognition you deserve, now you can.

All you need to do is send a copy of your most recent rank certificate, along with a typed outline of you belt testing requirements from beginner to now,

Any written proof of your rank and/or any written verification (Instructors name, rank, phone number, etc) will help in you being moved in rank accordingly.

    Second Degree Black Belt.......$75.00
    Third Degree Black Belt .........$100.00
    Fourth Degree Black Belt........$125.00
    Fifth Degree Black Belt...........$150.00

If you are moved up in rank you will be issued a cerificate displaying your new rank signed by Master Stone.

Once new rank is issued you must hold this new rank for the minimum amount of time listed below before moving to your next rank. To continue moving up in rank, one only needs to stay active in the arts and wait till the time period runs out before submitting again.
First Degree Balck Belt ....... must hold for one year
Second Degree Black Belt ... must hold for two years
Third Degree Black Belt ...... must hold for three years
Fourth Degree Black Belt .... must hold for four years and 30 years old minimum
Fifth Degree Black Belt ....... must hold for five years and 35 years old minimum

NOTE: All and anything submitted for rank recognition or advancement becomes the property of The American Karate Center and Master Stone.
Basic Degree Guidelines :
We understand that some styles/systems do not recognize belt ranks; this is why your rank may have to be authenticated.

Listed below is the approximate time one should have spent in the arts to be at a certain rank.
This guidline is used at the American Karate Center.
1st - 2nd Degree Black Belt .....6yrs or less
3rd - 4th Degree Black Belt ..... 7yrs - 14 yrs
5th - 6th Degree Black Belt ..... 15yrs - 22yrs
7th - 8th Degree Black Belt ..... 23yrs and up
