| Beneath the Iceberg |
| Martial Arts is an iceberg which floats around on the seas of life. You can choose to get on, but once you are on it can you stay on? When you conquer the surface you are a Winner. When you conquer whats beneath the surface you are a Champion. The tip of the iceberg is what we see on the surface. That is the self defense and combat element we know of when we think about Martial Arts. Below the surface of the water is 90% of the iceberg. Which we can not see. That is where the real Martial Arts essence come from. First and foremost is Respect. Martial Arts is not easy and requires you to use what is beneath the iceberg. Remember if it was easy everyone would be doing it! In the DLR Fighting System, Martial Arts are applied in a no-nonsense approach in which the practitioner can acquire the skills easily and master them quickly. A fusion of Martial Arts styles makes for an effective self-defense and fighting system. |
