| Written homework is assigned 1 to 2 times a week. Homework assignments are written on the board or on an overhead, are repeated verbally to the students, and students are instructed to take out their planners and record their homework. Homework is checked every time it is given. I look to see that the assignment was completed. I do NOT check for accuracy. Homework is reviewed and students are encouraged to make any corrections needed, so it becomes a part of their learning process. Homework is a VERY IMPORTANT part of language learning -- it reinforces concepts and communications that we learn in the classroom. If no written homework is given, students are always encouraged to review current and past vocabulary. I will keep homework assignments on the website for the marking period. |
