CONSEQUENCES TO BREAKING THE CLASSROOM RULES




RULES TO REMEMBER:

Respect others.
Everyday be prepared.
Get into the habit of doing the Do Now when the bell rings.
Lateness is not acceptable.
Always follow directions the first time.
See to it that make-up work is made up quickly.

DISRUPTIVE  BEHAVIOR CONSEQUENCES:
1.  Verbal warning(s) from teacher to student at time of problem.
2.   Private conference after class with student to discuss problem.
3.   Phone
call home.
4.   Detention with teacher after school.
5.    Removal from classroom to Student Responsibility Center  (SRC)
and/ or Administrative referrral.

LATENESS CONSEQUENCES:
Within the marking period, 3 lates will result in a detention.  Further lates will result in Administrative referral.

MISBEHAVIOR WITH A SUBSTITUTE CONSEQUENCES:
Students will be aprised of upcoming teacher absences if at all possible - to avoid surprises.
Misbehavior will result is 2 detentions, and a phone call home.
Subsequent misbehavior will result in Administrative Referral.

MISSED HOMEWORK CONSEQUENCES:
Assignments are to be written down in planner at the designated time in class.
Homework will be checked DAILY.
Missed homework will result in a ZERO for the day.
2 INCOMPLETE homework will result in ONE ZERO.
Students who are absent must make up homework as quickly as possible.
Chronic missed homework will result in a phone call home.
Continued missed homework will result in a detention.
For every 3 zero's received, the student's marking period grade will be LOWERED one grade, i.e. B to B-  (as per the TJMS homework policy).
Being  unprepared for class - without necessary supplies - results in a ZERO.


SEVERE CONSEQUENCE CLAUSE:
In the event of severe behavior, student will immediately be removed from class to SRC, and a phone call home and an administrative referral will result.
