NATCHEZ, MS / CANDLELIGHT DINNER IN ANTEBELLUM HOME / NATCHEZ EOLA HOTEL: Celebrate the holidays with an Antebellum Christmas in historic Natchez. Our accommodations are the festively decorated Eola Hotel. Step out of the Eola's courtyard into the heart of historic downtown Natchez , where you'll discover Natchez Under-the-Hill and Antique Row. Enjoy a gracious welcome at one of the fine Antebellum Homes and dine by candlelight in the splendor and luxury of this beautiful mansion. (D)
DAY 2:
TOUR THREE ANTEBELLUM HOMES / LUNCH @ DUNLEITH'S CASTLE RESTAURANT / FREE AFTERNOON / MUSICAL "A NATCHEZ CHRISTMAS CAROL": Our guide joins us for a morning of touring colorfully decorated antebellum homes. Ladies in hoop skirts will welcome you into their antebellum homes, furnished with priceless antiques, which still echo the legends that make the old south famous. We conclude our tour with lunch at The Castle Restaurant located at Dunleith, a stately white colonade mansion. We return to the Eola where you will have an afternoon of leisure. You may want to take a walking tour or a leisurely horse-drawn carriage tour. Tonight we attend the original holiday musical, "A Natchez Christmas Carol", adapted from Charles Dickens' classic. The entire action of the play takes place in Natchez in 1869. (L)
DAY 3:
FRENCH CAMP, MS / LUNCH @ COUNCIL HOUSE CAFE / HOME: After a stop for a delicious lunch at French Camp's Council House Cafe, we continue home full of Christmas cheer. (BB,L)
