| DAY 1: TRAVEL / ROANOKE, VA: There is much excitement onboard as we travel through the Tennessee Valley on our way to New York City. We will be making new friends today and sharing plans to experience the Big Apple. We will overnight in the vicinity of Roanoke. DAY 2: SHENANDOAH VALLEY / ALLENTOWN, PA: Excitement builds as we head north through the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Today, we talk about our list of options as we plan our free day in New York City. DAY 3: LUNCH @ TAVERN ON THE GREEN / GRAY LINE ON & OFF PASS / BROADWAY PLAY / NEW YORK CITY: Today we'll enjoy lunch at Tavern-on-the-Green, overlooking Central Park. Nestled in its own magical gardens, you'll fall in love with the fantasy-like setting. After a dazzling dining experience, we're off to explore our wondrous New York City aboard the Gray Line double-decker busses. These tour passes allow you to enjoy the best of Manhattan and Brooklyn, with over 50 stops, and unlimited hop-on , hop-off opportunities. There will be plenty time for Christmas shopping or sightseeing. Macy's, Saks, Nordstrom, FAO Schwarts, and hundreds of specialty shops are just waiting to be explored. Don't get too tired, we have tickets to a Broadway Show this evening. What a Day! (L) DAY 4: GRAY LINE ON & OFF PASS / FREE DAY FOR EXPLORING & SHOPPING / NEW YORK CITY: Now we can tour the city even further. See all the highlights you have heard so much about - the upper west side of Central Park where celebrities, actors, and television personalities have made their homes, a drive down Fifth Avenue past the Plaza Hotel, FAO Schwartz, Saks, and other fine stores, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Rockefeller Center. Then we make our way south to lower Manhattan. We'll drive through Financial District, the home of Wall Street and the Commodities Exchange, and see the memorial to those who perished in the 9/11 attack; read about ordinary men and women who became hero's in the face of disaster. You may want to see another Broadway Show, have dinner at one of New York's finest restaurants, or just relax to get ready for another big day in the greatest city in the world. DAY 5: FREE DAY FOR EXPLORING & SHOPPING / NEW YORK CITY: With your all-day subway pass in your hand and a tour director ready to show you how to use it, you will soon be zipping all over Manhattan. Shop famous stores for unique Christmas gifts, visit museums, watch the skaters at Rockefeller Center, or stroll through Central Park. Plan to get out early and be a member of the audience of a TV network morning show. Have dinner at another wonderful New York Restaurant- the choices are almost limitless! You may want to spend your final evening in this magical city at another exciting Broadway hit show. DAY 6: TRAVEL / PENNSYLVANIA / VIRGINIA, VA: Only now can we understand why New York City is the world's number one attraction! It seems that there's just no end to the sights or the excitement of the Big Apple. But, we'll be back! Tonight, we overnight in Virginia and think about all the fun we have had and the sights we have seen. DAY 7: HOME: What a great tour this has been! New York is truly like no other place on earth, and we have pictures and tales to tale to prove it. We arrive home late afternoon. |
