Senior MUN
Honors and Awards

Senior's MUN program participates in several MUN or MUN related conferences each year.  In the Fall of the school year we participate in the Iowa Regional Youth Symposium at Loras College.  Delegates who qualify from the regional conference are able to participate in the State Youth Symposium in Des Moines.  In the Spring, our major conference is the Midwest Regional MUN conference in Cedar Falls.  To prepare for the Cedar Falls conference, Senior and Hempstead have developed the Dubuque Global Summit.  The DGS has several schools which participate and is a one day conference to help students work in large MUN like environments and practice debate and parliamentary procedure.

Outstanding delegates are participants who were honored for demonstrating outstanding ability in one or several of the following areas.  Creating a consensus in groups, solving problems, taking on leadership responsibility and representing the views of their assigned country.
