Community Service
To help people at all times...
In May 2002, we served on the Council wide Flag retirement committee.  Several girls were on the committee and helped plan the event to help them earn requirement #4 of the Senior GS Challenge.  The girls researched ceremonies, collected worn flags and performed the ceremony at Camp Whip-Poor-Will.
Getting ready to walk in with the flag.
Then the field of Blue is cut out.
Then the stripes are cut one by one.
After the main flag is burned, the remaining flags can be burned whole.
After the ceremony everyone celebrates a job well done!!!

Badge Day
In Febuary 2002, the girls planned a Badge day for the Brownies and Juniors in our Service unit.  The theme was theater and the girls did activities such as face painting, mask making and puppet making.  This helped our girls earn requirement #5 of the Senior GS Challenge.
Juniors enjoying the role playing session with Emily.
Brownies making marionettes with Laura.
Brownies making yarn dolls with Kristina.
Juniors loved the face painting session.
