CONGRATULATIONS!!!
    A great big congratulations to Emily who was accepted as on the Ohio State fair Jr. Fair Board.  Only 1 person is chosen each year and only 2 people hold this position.

Christmas Camping
    The date for the Christmas Camping has been changed to December 6-8.  Sorry, but I was unable to get off work for the original date.  We will be staying at Rolling Hills.
GOALS, GOALS, GOALS!!!
As discussed at the last meeting, You need to complete options 1-3 on the Senior GS Challenge.  This involves writing goals and evaluating them over a period of time.  I am asking that your goals be typed and turned into me for the October meeting. If you do not have a Sr. Handbook, let me know and I will email you what you need to do. 
     You need to get moving on this if you would like to begin you Gold by spring!

Bon Voyage!
We all wish Laura good luck on her voyage to France.  She will be an exchange student there for a year and won't return until summer of '03!  Hope you get some great pics of you in France representing our troop!!

Magical Night of Giving
We will be selling Magical night of giving tickets to help us raise money for our trip.  Each ticket is $5 and we recieve 100% of the profits.  You all have 12 tickets to sell, if you need more please let me know. 
Product Sales
I hope that everyone has been doing their part and selling nuts.  We must take part in this to be able to do other fundraisers throughout the year.  Every little bit helps!
Order forms are due to Mrs. Kuflewski Sunday!!! 
BADGE WORK:
-The first task of the evening was to plan the skit (Service project option #2) which will be put on for the Crist's troop.
-At the meeting Career opt. #1 was completed for the Understanding yourself and others IP.
-Due to lack of attendance we decided to postpone technology opt. #4.
At Miss Rider's request Emily stole Sia's career pin; It will be returned once Miss Rider recieves Sia's resume.
-Emily complained about her job at the bakery.
-We then completed writing out our goals for the Senior GS Challenge, options #1,2 & 3.

FUNDARAISING:
To raise money for our Disney trip, we will be selling Magical night of Giving tickets.  Tickets are $5 each and our troop will recieve 100% of the profits.  For those of you who don't know what this events is, on Sunday November 17, the Dayton Mall will re open from 7-10 pm for those who have purchased a ticket.  There will be special sales and giveways throughout the evening.  Our tickets are for the Dayton Mall only! There are seperate tickets for the Fairfield Commons, make sure when you sell your tickets that your customers know this.  Please let Kristina know every Thursday how many tickets you have sold,  we must fax progress sheets into the mall.   Each of us have recieved 12 tickets to sell, if you need more please see Emily.

Fall product sales are due to Mrs K. no later that Monday Nov 4th, remember we would like everyone to sell 25 items.

If you have any ideas for easy crafts we could make to sell at bazaars to raise money for our trip, please bring them to the next meeting.   However we will not be atending the GS Holiday Bazaar, since it is the same weekend as our campout.

CRIST MEETING:
On Friday Nov. 1st we will perform our skit for the Crist's troop.  PLEASE try to attend even if you were not there for the planning.  The skit is not very hard.  You need to wear your GS vest and pack a sack lunch (prop).  We need to arrive by 7:15 and we will be done around 8:15.  If you caqnnot atten let Sia know asap.

For those of you who were not at the meeting you need to complete skill builders 1&3, and career 1 on yur own.   Together we will do tech 4 and skill builder 1.  Sia and Emily completere service 4 and skill 1 before the meeting at the mall.  If you can not attend the meeting Friday you need to chose and do another req. to take it's place.  Also you need to TYPE  your goals and send them to Miss Rider.

DUES:
Jenni and Erica still need to turn in their dues!!!

CAMPING:
Christmas Camping has been mover to Dec 6-8 at Rolling Hills.  If you are not at the next meeting, you can NOT go camping.

NEXT MEETING:
Our next meeting is Scheduled for Nov. 24, at the church from 6-8.  We will be planning Christmas Camping, if you can not attend, you must let Miss Rider know before hand with a good, legitimate excuse or you will not be going camping!
