What is Social Justice Anyway?
Throughout our senior year, my class at Lake Michigan Catholic High School has been focusing on social justice.  We have read different books, watched movies, looked through news papers and completed projects.  Social justice is more than charity, its going up the river, which we have included the link to a story that explains this.  Ronald Rolheiser, the author of The Holy Longing: The Search for a Christian Spirituality, writes Charity is about giving a hungry person some bread, while justice is trying to change the system so that nobody has excess bread while some have none.  This means that just giving things to the poor is not enough, you have to try to change the system so that there are not people that need things to live while others live with so much more.
