At the end of our project, we interviewed the teacher of the 8th grade class that we worked with. She was very pleased with the way we presented and the positive feedback she got from the students. She said that the best part of our presentation was that we picked activites that made the kids interact with one another and be hands on with the project. We kept them constantly active and participating. We made name tags for the kids so that we could become more familiar them and not just call them "you," but by their first names. It made us have a better relationship with the students and make the whole experience more comfortable. Even today, weeks later, we still have 8th graders comming up to talk to us in the hallways as friends. We really think that we made a positive impact on each kid. Hopefully they have taken something with them from this. I know that all three of us have! |
