Senior Branches - Who are We?
Cadets
Cadets, Junior Leaders and Rangers have much in common as Members of Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada! Working on the programs, especially the Core and whatever parts of each other's programs that appeal, presents possibilities for connecting with others in the Senior Branches.

The skills you develop through your programs are the basis for stepping into an independent adult life. The programs are designed to be flexible. There are many ways program objectives can be achieved. Adventure and independence are their focus.
Junior Leaders
Rangers
Cadets gain pracical experience as leaders in different branches of Guiding. Cadets meet as a Unit to exchange ideas and plan activities. They are part of the leadership teams, involved in the planning and running of Units.
Junior Leaders gain practical experience as leaders in one branch of Guiding. They are part of the leadership team involved in the planning and running of the Unit.
Rangers are challenged to plan and lead their own activities based on the program's Interest Areas. Their Unit Guiders are resource people who help them reach their goals.
Lones
Lones is an option for young women who cannot join a Unit because of distance or lack of opportunity. Some Provinces offer the Cadet and Ranger programs through correspondence.
