| without Archer in command, as they try to rescue their men. - This alien life form was very interesting, especially at the end when they learn to communicate without it and find that it is just a small part of a whole entity. - I like the way they showed them making first contact with other alien races, and how one word misunderstood could be disastrous. |

| a second time, to learn more about the creature, Maywheather is completely alone on the bridge. Is a ship from this time period so automated that it can be run with just one person on the bridge, but in The Next Generation 300 years later there's always at least six people on the bridge at all times. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
