Synopsis: Voyager gets trapped in a void, where resources are scarse, where ships survive by attacking and raiding other ships. As Voyager runs out of resources the crew insists that the only way they can survive is to attack and raid other ships, but Janeway refuses to comprise her princibles, and comes up with another plans. |

- I must admit, one I first heard of the premise of this episode |

|
|
|
I thought, "oh no not another trapped in the void episode." (To list a few TNG's "Where Silence has Lease" and "Night Terrors" and VOY's "Parallax") however this episode was nothing like those past episode. Here Voyager forms allainces with other ships trapped in the void and the cherisma is amazing.
- This is what the series should have been like in the first place, Voyager meeting new alien, befriending them and forming an allaince to survive the hostile ships. Something they hinted at in the 2nd season episode "Allainces".
- The plot runs so smoothly, you can feel Voyager desperation, as they try to survive the void with no resources, and when Janeway decides to form unlikely allainces angainst all odds, ant it works.
- The character of Fantome, and his friends (the aliens that are native to the void) are very interesting they bring a great feel to this episode. |
