| Synopsis: While Studying a black hole, the crew are effected by lethal radiation that causes the crew to become obbsessed over trival tasks. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Over All: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A completely unorginal plot that's been done over and over | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| again, however the character insights and interactions are the best and most interesting seen on the series yet. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Pros: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - This was a funny episode. To see Phlox obbsessing over | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Maywhether's headache and Reed obbsessing over his security protocol was quite funny. - Lt. Reed was very correct in pointing out that the tactical protocols on the ship are far too lax. And it's interesting to find out that he's going to invent red alert. |

| Cons: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - To say that this plot is unorginal is a bit of an understatement. Just | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| like in TOS' "The Naked Time" while studying a fasinating phenonem, the crew get infected with a diease that causes them to behave strangely. And like in TNG's "Genesis" the crew get infected by a disabling virus, except for one crew who is immune (in that case Data, in this case T'Pol) who seek the help of their not so immune captain that struggles with the diease while trying to save the ship. And in DS9's "Babel" where the crew contract a virus that makes it so they can only speak in giberish. - Not to mention a singularity causes problems among the crew. That's been over done to death. - And again we see the "the captain must reap all the glory syndrome" when T'Pol chooses Archer to help her fly the ship to safety, when Maywhether would haave been a much better choice. T'Pol's excuse that Maywhether's been sedated is stupid. He can be revived just as quickly as he was sedated. |
