| In the second season of Voyager Neelix was becoming increasing jeolous of Tom Paris. He was under the impression that Tom was trying to steal Kes away from him. Kes dismissed it has Neelix being overprotective, but in "Partusion" we learn that Tom was indeed in love with Kes. However he managed to put that behind him and him and Neelix were able to patch things up and become good friends. And they should have ended it there, however next year in the episode "Before and After" we see a possible future where Kes and Tom Paris were married, and they had a daughter who got married to Harry Kim. It was very apparent from that episode that this Paris / Kes had no spark, and was quite awful. Kes should've remained with Neelix and Paris should have remained on his own. |
