| Synopsis: Ensign Melora Pazlar visits the station to do a survey in the Gamma Qaudrant. Ensign Pazlar is an Elaysian, a race from a planet with low gravity. Her body not used to "normal" gravity, she is dependant on a specail wheel chair to get around. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Over All: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A somewhat interesting episode, but over all it's boring. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Pros: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - I like the character of Melora Pazlar, she was quite interesting | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| and I'm disapointed that she didn't become a reocurring character. She would have been an interesting addition to the series. Orginally she was suppose to be one of the main characters, but for some reason the writers decided to scrap her and put Dax on instead. - The concept of Bashir and Melora's relationship was interesting. It was good to see Bashir expertly break through all of the emotionally walls she put up around herself. - This was one of the only times where the side plot met up with the main plot. The side plot of Fallit Kot threatening to kill Qaurk met up with the plot about Melora Pazlar, when Kot takes Melora and Dax hostage. |

| Cons: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - There has already been too many Trek episodes dealing with | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| the difficulties of being handicapped and this episode doesn't even take a new approach. - Over all the whole romance between Melora and Bashir was quite boring as was the plot with Melora trying to decide whether or not to go through with Bashir's miracle treatment. |
