| Synopsis: Ezri seeks the help of Joran, one of Dax's former hosts, to track down a murderer that's loose on the station. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Over All: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| An episode that's good in theory, but it is done quite horribly. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Pros: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - This episode is very good at exploring other starfleet officers | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| statationed at DS9 other than the main characters. It also goes to establish better relations between the main characters. - I like it when they explore alien cultures, to show that they are truely different, here they do it with one line, after a Bolian is killed Ezri says about him, "He had a wife and co-husband on Bolariz." showing how different the Boilian culture is, although they don't explain what exactly a co-husband is. |

| Cons: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - The whole plot with Ezri talking to Joran was done horribly done, | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| it was extremely cheesy, especially the dream seqeunce. - The Joran shown here is totally different than Joran shown in the past episodes, he was more insane, here he is shown as a cool cold blooded murderer, that is not constant at all. Joran only killed a couple of people after he was joined. In "Equilbrum" they hinted that it was because of the joining that Joran became a bit unstable and killed. The episode "Facets" supported this, when Jadzia went through the ritural to put Joran in Sisko for a for hours he acted like a maniac, not cold blooded murder who can only think about killing. - The whole ritural of bringing Joran to the surface, to talk to Ezri is a bit ridiculous. |
